For most school systems technology is an extremely complex and challenging issue. Yet, if planned and managed effectively, technology can be a critical tool in achieving school district management and learning goals.

Successful school districts have technology plans that support their goals. Technology plans that address strategic district goals are the product of collaborative efforts of the Chief Technology Officer, Superintendent, administrative staff and the school board. District office staff, teachers, students and parents all play a role in developing and supporting the implementation of the strategic technology plan.
